Recorded Entertainment
A collection of my work in film, editing, and recorded entertainment
Faxanadu Sound Re-Design
Faxanadu is an action role-playing video game from 1987. For a personal design project, I re-imagined the video game’s sound design and created my own soundscape and sound effects to accompany the game. Timing and consistency were key.
Theme Park Design
For this project, I was given 5 different themes of “lands” and a walking path the customer would be taking through the theme park. I designed soundscapes for each of these themes and worked in transitions from land to land so the patron could seamlessly be taken to the new environment. This is a recording of the Qlab session I programmed to simulate walking through a theme park.
The Hunger Games Design Project
This was a project in my third year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Working with the class professor, Wade Wilson, a sound designer for The Hunger Games film, I designed and edited my own backgrounds in ProTools for the opening reel. Provided is a clip of that design.
Shrek Design Project
This was a project in my third year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Working with the class professor, Wade Wilson, a sound designer on the original Shrek film, I designed and edited my own backgrounds and lava sound effects in ProTools. Provided are clips from my edit.

A Propos de Nice
A Propos de Nice is a film documentary directed by Jean Vigo in 1930. This was my first personal project. I was interested in creating a renaissance; giving life to something that used to shine. For this silent film, I designed a sound story around my perception of the film.
The Little Mermaid Foley Project
This was a project in my fourth year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I partnered with a fellow student to record and edit our Foley effects for a movie clip of our choosing. This project was so fulfilling and fun to do and was an excellent learning experience, Provided is a clip of my ProTools editing session.
